The Meeting of the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) Executive Board started yesterday, and it is hosted virtually.
Today starts the 73rd Session of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) World Health Assembly (WHA). Exceptionally and for the first time, the Assembly will be organized online and with a unique point to the agenda: the COVID-19 health response.
The Global Status Report on Road Safety, released in December 2018, leaves no doubt: the number of road traffic deaths and injuries remains unacceptably high, engendering many situations of suffering, poverty and exclusion across the world.
The report, published today, indicates that 1.35 million people die on the road each year. Road traffic injuries are now the leading killer of children and youth aged 5 to 29 years.
In the small world of rehabilitation actors, this is a truly historic moment: the Global Rehabilitation Alliance was born on 22 May 2018!
